What is the Pink Ribbon Campaign?

The Pink Ribbon Campaign is a campaign that originated in the United States to promote accurate knowledge about breast cancer and early screening.

Breast cancer is more likely to affect women aged 30 to 64 in the prime of their working lives, and it is said that one in nine Japanese women will suffer from it.

Early detection through regular checkups significantly increases survival rates and leads to a 99% cure rate. (*1 Stage I: 10-year survival rate is 99.1%)

The Pink Ribbon Campaign aims to spread this knowledge widely and promote the importance of regular health checkups and early detection.

Support "Pink Ribbon Kagawa"!

There are many organizations promoting the Pink Ribbon Campaign, but Kawanishi Kaban will be making a donation to Pink Ribbon Kagawa, which runs the Pink Ribbon Campaign in its local city of Kagawa.

Breast cancer is extremely common among women in their 40s and 50s, who are the most dependable people in the family and society. It is said that one in 11 Japanese women will suffer from breast cancer, and it is the leading cause of cancer deaths among women aged 30 to 64.
The Pink Ribbon Campaign is a movement to eliminate breast cancer that began in the United States. In Japan, the Tokyo Tower was lit up in pink in 2000, and since then the movement has spread throughout the country.
In Kagawa Prefecture, we established the Pink Ribbon Kagawa Prefectural Council (abbreviated as "Pink Ribbon Kagawa") in 2005 to raise awareness of breast cancer and screening among many women and the entire local community. We hope that this activity, supported by the local power of Kagawa, will be an opportunity to protect as many lives as possible from breast cancer.
