My family and I went to the trouble of buying a mirrorless camera, but...

I want to take my camera, battery, smartphone, AirPods, cables, and other essentials with me for a quick walk. I also want to use it outdoors.

In order to respond to such requests, we focused on...

We, the Japanese craftsmen, have created this camera bag to protect your precious camera from both impact and water.

This small body can hold a camera, battery, smartphone, and everything you need to take photos whenever you feel like it.

It has a large capacity that is perfect for everyday outings. You can fit this much luggage in it!

I bought my favorite mirrorless camera, but I can't find a camera bag that I really like.

● Most of them are bulky ● Hard to use ● I worry about my camera if I use a normal sacoche...
● So when I go out, I don't take my camera with me...

I completed this product after listening to the advice of my friend, a YouTuber (Smile), who is knowledgeable about cameras and had similar issues!!

The Lauff body bag for mirrorless cameras uses Alice, a water-repellent leather developed in collaboration with Setouchi Leather .

This means that even if you get caught in a sudden rain shower, no rain stains will remain.

What's more, if you spill coffee, just wipe it off right away and there will be no stains left!

Strong water resistance!

The water-repellent leather we developed has a water resistance of 1522mm !!

It is strong enough to withstand a glass of water being dropped on it from a height of 1.5m.

*Sewn seams are not water repellent, so they do not indicate the water repellency of the entire camera bag.

The camera is protected with 10mm of cushioning material on the bottom, a total of 7mm on the front, 5mm on the back, and 2mm on the sides.

The most important function of a camera bag is to protect the camera inside.

In order to create a stylish yet sturdy bag, we tried out various core materials and decided on Mirafoam, which has excellent cushioning properties.

At the beginning of development, we purchased a generic camera bag from a certain company that was sold at an electronics retail store and studied it. At the bottom of this camera bag were some sturdy 3mm, 2mm and 3mm cores.

So we wanted to make it compact but with almost the same strength as a regular camera bag!

With this in mind, we decided to use a 10mm thick core material for the bottom part, which is the part that bears the most weight, which is thicker than the bottom of an average camera bag.

We aimed for a compact size that could hold everything you need for a quick photo shoot on your outing, including your camera, batteries, smartphone, AirPods, cables, etc.

It has a gusset that doesn't expand too much when you actually put things in and take them out, making it easy to use!

We've stripped away everything that isn't necessary and made it as compact as possible.

The material that touches the shoulder is the same as that of a seat belt.

The width is 50mm, which makes it easy to fit to your body.

Furthermore, by adjusting the angle, the structure has been designed to fit better and make your luggage feel lighter.

[Origin of the name]

The name Lauff comes from the words "laugh" and "ruff."

I named the body bag for mirrorless cameras that I made this time "lauff."

The name is a combination of "laugh" meaning to laugh and "ruff" meaning to be clear.

There are two meanings in the name:

① We wanted to get a name from Smile, the YouTuber who helped us out, so we used laugh, which has a similar meaning to Smile's name.

2) Because we feel that this product is Kirifuda (ruff).

Preparation for this project began in February 2021. We tried out samples over and over again, and even took on the challenge of co-developing leather.

This is because it is a product that truly embodies our values.

We are taking on this challenge with the belief that our body bag for mirrorless cameras, Lauff, will be a spark for everyone's smiles.

Local manufacturing

The water-repellent leather Alice was developed in collaboration with Setouchi Leather, a leather brand based in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, and Kagawa Prefecture.

We thought that collaborating with a local leather brand could also lead to local production and consumption.

Furthermore, Setouchi Leather uses the skins of animals that are primarily used for meat and that are raised in the Setouchi region. We were inspired by this policy and asked them to work together on this project.
