Introducing the new leather "Sand"!


This is a Richie L made using the new leather "Sand."
By filing the surface of the leather and intentionally scratching it, a unique texture resembling wood grain was created. Of course, you can also enjoy the changes in the leather over time, as the color deepens and the surface becomes more lustrous with each use. *Brown is not currently available
The zipper base fabric was chosen in a color that matches the color of the leather.
All of the colors are calm, and I combined them while imagining that they would look good even after the leather has aged over time.

A compact long wallet that opens in an L-shape with a zipper

The L-shaped wallet ricchyL is a compact long wallet that is just large enough to fit a 10,000 yen bill. In order to achieve a "slim and compact long wallet," we made it without a zipper on the coin purse.

We have repeatedly made prototypes and devised a structure so that coins do not fall out even without a zipper on the coin purse. We will introduce the various other ingenious points of ricchyL.

① Carefully crafted design

Large capacity yet compact

ricchyL is slimmer and smarter than previous long wallets, thanks to the innovative way the coin purse and card slots are attached.
To maintain a slim silhouette, the coin purse does not have a zipper. The coin purse is made slightly lower than the main body so that coins do not fall out even without a zipper.
When you close the zipper on the main body, the opening of the coin purse will also close securely, and when you open the zipper on the main body, the opening of the coin purse will also open, allowing you to access your money in one step.

Card pocket

There are eight vertical card pockets, providing ample storage space.

Long pocket

You can put receipts in the gusseted side and bills in the non-gusseted side.

Coin purse

The coin purse in the center can be used to separate the contents of the wallet. You can separate bills on the right and left sides of the coin purse, or bills and receipts, to keep the contents of your wallet neat and tidy.

Threads selected to match the color of the leather

We produce them in 5 to 10 different colors, from deep black to vibrantly dyed red, so you can choose the one that suits your taste, and we change the stitching thread to match the various leather colors.
 Genuine leather has its own unique dye finish, so you need to choose thread that matches the color of the leather. Changing the thread every time is not an efficient way to go.
However, products made with threads that are perfectly matched to leather have a neat and elegant look. "We want to pursue the style we are aiming for without sparing any effort."
This attention to detail is also reflected in the choice of thread.

About the material

Original material "Sand Leather" | Developed in collaboration with Setouchi Leather

"Sand Leather," which was developed in collaboration with Setouchi Leather, a tannery that processes hides into leather, has a pattern that resembles natural wood grain by processing the leather surface to make it fluffy.


The pattern is slightly rough to the touch, which makes scratches less noticeable and gives the piece a tasteful appearance.

Enjoy the changes over time

Sand leather is thoroughly soaked in oil before processing, so with each use the oil seeps out and transforms into beautiful, lustrous leather.

Thanks to the surface treatment, it ages faster than regular leather, and you can immediately enjoy the smooth shine of the leather.

Threads selected to match the color of the leather

At Kawanishi Kaban, we use different stitching threads to match the various colors of leather.

Genuine leather has its own unique dye finish, so you need to choose thread that matches the color of the leather. Changing the thread every time is not an efficient way to go.

However, products made with threads that are perfectly suited to leather have a neat and elegant appearance.

つかめるかつかめないか問題

実物に触れずに購入するのは大変不安でしたが返品保証付きだったので注文に踏み切ることができました。

実物を手にしてみると、想像以上に薄くてコンパクト。質感は想像以上に良いという印象。いちばん心配していた「つかめるかつかめないか問題」は一瞬で払拭され、今では良き相棒となってくれています。

想像と違った原因のひとつはECサイトに記載してあるサイズと実物が違っていたことにあると思います。手元にあるリッチーLのサイズを計測したところ幅、マチ幅は記載どおりでしたが、高さ10ｃｍではなく9.6ｃｍ、重さ180ｇではなく162ｇでした。手が小さい私でもぎりぎりホールドできるサイズでとても使いやすいです！YouTubeを見て購入を検討している方で手が小さい方にもぜひ一度手に取ることをおススメしたくてレビューしてしまいました。

YouTube動画を観て、そのフォルムに一目惚れし、サンドグレーを先日購入しました。
商品が届いて動画で見たよりも、質感、色合いがめちゃくちゃ好みでテンションが上がりました。
2週間眠らせ、つい先日から使い始めましたが使用感はコインポケットは広く浅くというのが最高で、すごく取り出しやすいです。

楽しんでます

Youtubeでたまたま見てどうしても欲しくなり、
先日購入。
もともと二つ折りの財布しか使ってなかったですが、今は試行錯誤して楽しんいます。
紙幣の場所もここだよねって思いながら、
入れ替えてみたり、ファスナーの開けしめも
こっちの向きがいいのか、
はたまた、逆に持ったほうがいいのか、色々検証中です。
小銭の出し入れ後にファスナーを閉めるのを忘れて小銭を散乱させてしまい、お店ではずかし思いをしました。
