The tote bag, grave, is a Kawanishi Kaban redesign of the Garden Bag with lots of pockets, and now comes in a Cordura® fabric version.


The body is made of durable and beautiful glossy nylon fabric, and the black leather handle and all-black metal fittings add a luxurious feel.

What is Cordura® fabric?

The Cordura fabric used by Kawanishi Kaban is called CORDURA Ballistic, a robust nylon fabric developed by INVISTA, a long-established leader in the nylon industry.


This fabric is lightweight, resistant to abrasion, tearing, and abrasion, and is so strong and reliable that it is even used in bulletproof vests.It is highly water-repellent and boasts high strength that allows it to withstand harsh environments.

Therefore, it is less likely to deteriorate over time, and is recommended for those who want to use it for a long time while keeping it looking nice.

Grabe features 13 pockets

The bottom of the bag is made of two layers of fabric, so it can securely support a large amount of luggage.

Hanging storage with "daisy chain"

Bottom studs keep your bag looking beautiful

The bag has studs on the bottom to keep it looking beautiful for a long time even when placed on the floor.

If a bag without bottom studs is left on the floor for a long time, the bottom and four corners of the bag will rub against each other, causing them to get dirty or tear.

Usually, bottom studs are attached to all four corners, but when carrying heavy items in a bag, the center can sink and lead to tears.

The grabe Cordura® has studs on the four corners and in the center, a total of five places. This is the commitment of Kawanishi Kaban, who aims to create products that will be loved for a long time.

Point Leather | Setouchi Leather

Main fabric: CORDURA Ballistic

The name of the chemical fiber "nylon" started as a product name developed by the American textile company DuPont. Invista is a textile company that became independent from the textile division of DuPont, the creator of nylon.

Lining: Microfiber fabric

The inside is made of soft microfiber fabric so that you can put your computer inside as is.

The color is brown, which matches the color of the main unit and gives a luxurious and high-quality impression.

Lining: Nylon 110 twill

The lining is made of 100% nylon, which is highly elastic and durable, and the back of the fabric is coated with acrylic, giving it a slightly water-repellent function. Even if you put a wet plastic bottle or umbrella inside, the water will not easily seep through to the surface of the backpack.

"Nylon 110 twill" is elastic, wrinkle-resistant, has a beautiful luster, and is just the right thickness for a luxurious feel.

Water-resistant zipper

永く愛されるカバン

YouTubeを観てこれだ！と決めて直接お店に行き、通勤用として購入。思った通り形、大きさ、質感最高◎でした。また裏地の素材、色がとても高級感を漂わせます。
他の方のレビューにも書かれていたのですが、持ち手(ハンドル)の長さがもう少しあれば肩に掛けやすいと思います。またグレーブミニの様にかぶせ蓋を使わず、入れ口にジッパーを付けて頂けたら最高です。
大好きなカワニシカバンです♪もっと進化したグレーブ、アベベを期待しています。

名古屋イベントで仕事の通勤用として購入させて頂きました。普段必要な品物が余裕で収納できますが、個人的な欠点として、所有する長財布が大き過ぎて収まりが悪かったですね。中に無印のバックインバックを活用して縦収納しています。

しっかり作られすぎて

通勤用に購入しましたが、重いモノを入れると持ち手の革の厚みで？滑ってしまい、必ず一本ズリ落ちます。軽いモノなら落ちないようです。
ショルダーパーツ必須なのに売り切れ(泣)。オプションではなくデフォルトにしてはいかがでしょうか。
また、幅31cmのPCだとカバンが横に広がり気味で、あまりモノが入らないしちょっとカッコ悪い…。PCを入れることはあまり想定されていないのですね。

お店でバックを見たときはハードな印象を持ったのですが、使っている姿をみると凄くスマートな印象です。
また仕事柄、ユニフォームなど嵩張るものを入れることが多いのですが、相当量入れてもパンパンな見た目にならず、両サイドのボトル入れも量が多い時は有効に機能します。
